High Perfomance Radial Fan Type BN3

Size and Performance

VAKUTEC®-high duty radial fans for the low-pressure range with the nomenclature BN3, are manufactured in 15 different sizes according to DIN 323 Part 1, series of standard numbers R20. For the nominal size DN250 up to DN1250 for air volume up to 80.000 m³/h and a total pressure up to 2.300 Pa, You can find all technical data on the following charts. Bigger fans up to DN2000 will be designed by the specific operating conditions.

Materials

In dependence of physical and chemical operating conditions there are the following materials for choise:

Fan casing: PVC, PP, PE, PVC-GRP and alloyed steel

Fan wheels: PVC, PP, PVDF, steel coated, steel gummed and alloyed steel

Because the fan casing and the fan wheel are compatible, there is the optimal combination for each application.

Casing and casing positions

The casings are manufactured in a sturdy welded construction and appopriate to the static demand reinforced with covered steel profil.
The casings can be manufactured corresponding to VDMA 24156.
The regular equipment of the casing contains :
assembling port for the fan wheel, plastic boot in- and outlet, shaft seal, condensat outlet, inspection hole, splinter protection.,

Fan wheels

The fan wheels are manufactured standard with 6 reverse curved vanes and corresponding to the VDI directive 2060, quality class Q 6,3, static and dynamic balanced. An economic operation is guaranteed by the high effeciency hmax.=86%.

Drive units and motors

Up to the size DN500 the fan wheel could be driven direct. The indirect drive unit is possible on each size and occurs over a narrow V-belt, wich is corresponding to UVV and protected against touching.
Up to the size DN1250 the bearing support happens with a maintenance free double-flange-type bearing, bigger sizes could be equiped with a pillow block. The bearings which are in use have a permanent grease lubrication for a durability of ~25.000 operating hours, a construction with grease nipples is possible to, if the customer wishes it.

To guarantee an optimal operation of the aggregate, we only use brand-name power units of the EG-area.
Principally there are air cooled three-phase squirrel cage rotor motors with degree of protection IP55 in use, if required they are multi-stage and explosion-proofed, too. The indirect drive unit is mounted to the frame structure, or on a holding fixture for the bigger aggregates. The belt drive and the power unit align to the fan axis, so that the narrow V-belt gets stretched for the shortest way and the vibration damper are uniformly distributed to the load. On demand, the motor will be equiped with a weather-proofed hood for outdoor operating.
Base Frame and fan are one unit, wich is made with solid welded profiles. Base- and protective coatings with acid-resistant paint are in color hue RAL 7011.
